Art Gallery

Part of the Q Cafe vision is to support the arts. We feel that art has the potential to make a positive impact on people and communities by encouraging creative expression and discussion. Just as the Q Cafe aims to support artists with its space, artists who use the Cafe are supporting its efforts to foster community and social change.

Q Cafe Gallery

Q Cafe is a great space for local and national artists to show their art. We host a new artist every month with gallery openings every first Thursday of the month. If you are interested in showing your art at the Q Cafe, please send samples or links to samples to our Music and Art Coordinator, Tom at tom@qcafe.org

The Q Cafe is looking for visual artists who are interested in showing their work in the Q Cafe gallery. We are looking for paintings, photography, collage, etc. Must have at least 13-16 pieces to show, depending on size. Content must be all-ages appropriate.

Please send samples and/or links to samples via email to our Live Music and Art Coordinator at tom@qcafe.org

August artist: Kodi Sir

My name is Kodi Sershon. Photography is my latest folly. I love having the ability to take something out of time and preserve it in fIlm. Its a unique way of looking at the world in that its without motion. free from Flux. You’re a spectator of something as it never was and never will be. Its surreal.

More specifically I'm partial to analogue photography though digital certainly has its benefits. I’m drawn to photos of musicians and people in urban settings. As a result i’m constantly pushing myself outside of that comfort zone. I’m also pushing myself out of keeping a photo how it is. I want to rip it apart and put it back together until it holds new meaning. There’s a lot of personal expression and soul the process which I never thought I could get out of photography.

As for me...

My favorite musicians are Spencer Krug, David Bowie, Alex Ebert and Tom Waits.

Favorite Films are The Royal Tenenbaums, Mirrormask, Pan’s Labyrinth and Amelie.

Favorite TV: Twin Peaks and Carnivale.

Favorite books are One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, Mostly Harmless, Dry and Choke

I’m available for any weddings, portraits, events or whatever you could need me for. I also build websites and graphic design.
