Art Gallery

Part of the Q Cafe vision is to support the arts. We feel that art has the potential to make a positive impact on people and communities by encouraging creative expression and discussion. Just as the Q Cafe aims to support artists with its space, artists who use the Cafe are supporting its efforts to foster community and social change.

February artist: Andria Linquist

Andria became enthralled with capturing people, life and landscapes while wandering the soils of Sweden, Copenhagen, Paris and London. After a month-long partnership with her first SLR camera, she returned to the U.S. confident she had found her calling. Andria describes her style as “Anything But Ordinary” and, regardless of what is in front of her lens, she aims to shoot with a unique style that captures true emotion, life and movement. Every photo and phrase displays her commitment to a creative patience and willingness to see everyday sights and people as beautiful. Andria is being published in 2010 Boulevard of Photographers Photos of the Year, a compilation of worldwide artists and their work. She also makes a mean pumpkin pie.

She is available for work in editorial, commercial, fashion, life, landscape and love. See more of her work on her blog:

March Artist : Colleen Kahn

About Colleen Kahn:

In 2003 I unleashed my creative energy and started painting. I soon found myself surrounded by canvases that are bright with color, broad in stroke and rich in texture.

I discovered unique methods of applying paint to canvas and I have decided that no toy or tool is off-limits to me!

Imagine looking for hours, time and again and never seeing the same thing twice in a painting.

Now imagine being the artist and having that same experience!  Show me what you saw and I will tell you what I saw. My paintings have shown me what lives inside of me…what I really set out to do was to show people what lives inside of them.
