Eugene Cho, [Executive Director] and his wife, Minhee, helped start Q Cafe in 2001. He enjoys working with the staff, advisory board, and volunteers in their joint effort to help create a very unique "glocal" neighborhood cafe. Born in Korea, he immigrated to the U.S. at age six and grew up in San Francisco. He, Minhee, and their three kids reside moved to Seattle in 1997 and hope to be here for a very long long time. In addition to his passion at Q Cafe, Eugene is a pastor at Quest Church. His hobbies include coffee, sports, reading, air guitar, and blogging. Favorite drink: Vanilla latte. Anu [Cafe Manager] was born and raised in St. Louis, MO. She is the charming daughter of her Nigerian parents, a mischievous sister to her siblings, and a proud aunt to her two nieces. After attending college at Truman State University in Kirksville, MO, she packed her bags and moved across the county to Seattle, WA. Currently, she is a graduate student at Mars Hill Graduate School pursuing a Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology, and on the side, she enjoys a variety of activities such as reading, hiking, watching the sunrise and sunset over the Sound and the mountains, and witnessing the creative genius of artists, musicians, and dancers, a like. Melissa [Live Music and Art Director] is the daughter of an outspoken, bluegrass lovin', land rights activist, and a soft spoken, jazz lovin', social democrat.  Their product has become a 23 year old moody, screamo lovin', indecisive liberal Christian.  A native of the greater Seattle surburban area, Melissa is a permanent student of the U of W's Interdisciplinary Art's and Sciences department, majoring in Global Studies, Human Rights, and African Studies.  Along with working at the Q Cafe, Melissa works for the Washington State Holocaust Education Resource Center as a Development Coordinator, and is the Northwest Regional Coordinator for Umabano Sister School Program, a program that partners schools in the northwest with schools in Rwanda.  Favorite Drink: Single short soy mocha.  Emailmelissa@qcafe.org

About Us

Q Cafe is a non-profit neighborhood cafe in Seattle featuring direct trade espresso [Stumptown Coffee] and tea, art, live music, and community events.

Location & Hours

We are located in Interbay - 3223 15th Ave. West - just south of the Ballard Bridge. Our hours currently are 8am-9pm [M-Th]. We feature OPEN MIC on Tuesdays from 6.30-9pm. On Friday during Live Music shows, QCafe closes at 5pm and re-opens 7.30pm.
