community event: invisible children

Q Cafe is privileged to host a screening of the new film from the non-profit international organization, Invisible Children. The film [free] will be showing on Monday, March 31 - 7-9pm at Q Cafe.
In the spring of 2003, three young filmmakers traveled to Africa in search of a story. What started out as a filmmaking adventure transformed into much more when these boys from Southern California discovered a tragedy that disgusted and inspired them, a tragedy where children are both the weapons and the victims.

So, if you're looking for a place to meet with your group, a place to study, a place to read, a place to surf the web [free!], or simply a place to enjoy a great cup of coffee or tea, stop by the Q Cafe on Thursday nights.

re-opening celebration

Q Cafe will be open on THURSDAY, February 7, from 7-10 to celebrate our re-opening.  Nothing special per se but we simply wanted to make ourselves available for our fans and supporters who typically are not able to come during our normal 8-5 hours.   If you've got the time, we'd love for you to join us to check out the new coffee, new space, and meet the new manager and her staff.
